I know its way past memorial Day, but it took me that long to awaken from my drunken stupor. All the guys from 2380 were oer at AJs place for the memorial weekend, with the grace of the heavenly father the weather was perfect outdoor day.We drove down to a state park nearby and hiked for about 2 miles, well I would have had more snaps if Nik knew how to operate the camera but alas! THe thought of all that beer and food at home is what got the guys to literally run through the 3 mile trail.The barbecue started at about 6 in the evening, yeah i know its the time when most people start going indoors but were nocturnal beings and thrive by moonlight.I got the charcoal fires up in no time and as usual people pounced on the food as soon as I finished the first batch of franks.The talking and singing continued till the wee hours of the morning, tween the commotion we actually made time to walk to the entrance of the house to pick Arun who travelled coast to coast, poor chap had to take a Cab as none of the guys could risk getting a DUI, that and also the fact that people were far too drunk to walk.Well I could walk but then there is another way to test me for alcohol, I know I'm really drunk when I cant seem to play anything on the guitar. I loose all control over my motor senses in my left arm, I can still walk though, have perfected the art oer a period of 10 years.
Well this was just the start of the great memorial weekend. I am hoping to cover Sunday and Monday in the next post. Was a Real good start to a fantastic weekend. What's better than sitting down with old friends and getting drunk whilst singing heartbreaking ballads and screaming expletives at deafening tones.
