Pride or Prejuidice

Watched the Oscars on Sunday..Fortunately this year the winners were a little more predictable, though I would have picked George Clooney for Best Director. But my ire is oer the best original score. what is this pity the academy has towards african americans, are they scared of them or are they trying to gather more viewership and a broader audience, well if they are then kudos to them. This years pity award was for best musical score "Its hard out here for a pimp". I've heard the song and the audacity of the writer to ask for Gods blessings so that he can sell flesh is probably what made someone on the committee go, dat sawng musht wyn.
It is similar to the reaction I had when Halle Berry when for a very forgetable performance. All african american actresses had a big uproar as to why the prejuidiced comittee never awarded them any oscars, so the comittee in return picked the african american who had a movie that year to win the oscar, overlooking a amazing performance from Sissy Spacek (In The Bedroom)
It may seem at this point that I am prejuidiced too. No I am not, I dont mind actors or actresses of any color winning an award, but it seems to me that people of some people play the race card everytime they need something. Like howcome no african american has ever won the best actress award.
But more than the people who play the card I detest people who give into their demands, this actually affirms the thought that their decisions were infact prejuidiced.
This is similar in some twisted way to the treatment of Scheduled castses and tribes in India. They get the best education seats, the choicest of jobs, free everything and the others are called priviledged.
Priviledged of what, priviledged to watch your seat be taken by someone because his grandfather had to sweep the streets, or priviledged that your award was taken by someone because her country didnt treat her race with respect a few decades back.
Sometimes I guess one has to pay to be the majority or am I truly prejuidiced.
