Rush of blood to my feet

Just spent a very pleasant evening listening to Coldplay..and some of it actually watching coldplay perform live..no not at Live8 but at MTV(for once MTV was actually playing some music.). Fantastic band I must say...has trace of Floyd I have to say in their music and Lyrics...
I am a little late joining the Coldplay bandwagon..but after I heard a bunch of songs I went out and bought their CD (Rush of blood to my feet), and am sorry to say so but I downloaded X & Y. I had a blast listening to ROBTMF(Im sure you can figure out what the acronym stands for..) some of the songs were really cool...like "In My Place", "Clocks", "The Scientist", "Green Eyes".
Nice to hear a younger band play sensible music..I thought bands like these were lost after th early 90s. Its an amazing variety in music from the piano in "The Scientist" to the guitar work in "God put a Smile upon your face" it is amazing. They are proving that they are not the run of the mill rock n rollers..but then thats the kind of music I like..they remind me a bit of like a fusion between Radiohead and Verve.
In the words of Coldplay
"To my surprise
And my delight
I saw a sunrise
I saw a sunlight."

yeah man, i revert my statements that I made in the blog on clodplay...i was listening to it this weekend, and truth be told, i think, they r the onnly band, of the newer ones, i can listen to even with an headache (i was having one! y was i hearing music in such a state, bewilders even me!)

"In My Place", "Clocks", "The Scientist", "Green Eyes" are really good..."In my place" is fantastic, as r others too...but, dude, i wud not go and buy the whole album (i am sure about RBTMH), but ahmed (bangla guy) had got one of his earlier albums, found that some of the songs were good, but not worth buying the whole album for...

having traces of PF in them?....hmmm, well one needs to be passionate and crazy in the head to create music like PF...dont know if they have it...they r too soft...also, their recent 'speed of sound' and i think 'clock' (not sure right now), have almost similar music...yes worth listening, definitely because of the moody yet breezy music that they create...

damn, turning out to be a critic here! need to stop...need to stop!

well now I have all 3 of their albums..and must say that RBTMH was definitely the best of the 3.....am listening to it as i write....
well nothing compares to PF but the kids are talented..I hope the next album has a little more variation though...
