Best Team My A*&

The Boston Celtics were awarded the ESPY for the Best Team.
What a load of crap. That is not a team, it is just a group of individual overachievers.
They took 3 individual superstars and forced them to play under one banner.
No game they won looked like a team effort.
Every game was won by individual brilliance and some fake crying provided by eternal cry baby Paul Pierce.

The Giants were definitely worthy, they fought as a team. The Red Sox, fought the Indians as a Team, everybody contributed.
As much as I hate them I think the Patriots deserved to win the best team award, so what if they lost the superbowl.
They were still the best team.

Alex Rodrigues Best Baseball player...Really.

Who votes on these things

Adirondack

We spent our July 4th weekend in the Adirondacks, specifically around Lake George.
Quiet a crowd travels to Lake George for July 4th, we were staying at the English cottages on Rt 9,
and the owner was telling us how the town goes from a population of 5 to 8 K normally to approx 80 K oer the weekend.
The drive was long but extremely sceneic.
I could have driven through NJ, but I preferred to drive via East Stroudsburg,
that way we are in the mountains all the time and the distance was only 15 miles longer.

We ( C n Me ) decided to go to lake george at the last hour fortunately for us someone in the potluck group had cancelled and we got to take their spot.
The cottages were 60 bucks a night can you beat that.....Serenity abounding from the rat race of life.

We spent the Thursday recovering from the 6 hr long drive, yes scenery does not spare you a backache.
On Friday we spent the morning at the beach, I got to play volleyball as well,
people were pretty amazed that an Indian can actually serve and play that well.
Amazing people and breaking stereotypes thats what I am about. Well I forgot to mention that I played a lot of volleyball during my college years.

Whilst all the other couples and their kids went about boating C n me paired with another couple who had kids as old as us and decided to walk through the forest along one of the bike trails.
Was interesting walk, learned a lot, nice stories.
We came back to lake in the evening for the fireworks, we got seats on the lake edge and it was really nice.

C n I did a bit of hiking early in the morning. We climbed Buck Mountain a pretty steep climb of 3.1 miles.
It was a good 4 hours of exercise, feels nice to exercise eary in the morning.
After that we went rafting with the entire group. This was totally different from the last time.
There were about 5 kids aged 5 to 9 on the boat.
But the company sent a guide along who bless his soul did most of the navigation.
It was really amazing to just jump into the river and float....Wow, I could do this forever.
After rafting it was back to the cottage and in the pool where we had a water polo game that the men won 26 nothing.
All through the 3 days we played a lot of ping pong, We had a tournament Teams (John n me) and (hemant n Vinoy).
Boy that was a lot of fun, brings back childhood days.
The last night we had a sing song session to keep the good old Gaon traditions alive.

And Sunday we were back on the road again heading towards pennsylvania.

I clicked only 1 pic throughout the outing, but can still visualize the mounains and feel the peace of the Adirondacks.

I'll be back and soon......
