Chaos Theory

A couple of weeks back the group n me had our first experience with rapids, yeah we went white water rafting in the Poconos. Krispy bungled up the booking and we ended up at White Water Rafters with no place to camp or our names on the next days rafting trip. But fate was on our side and we managed to get a camp spot 2 lengths from the Restroom. Thank god for firewood, or else the stench would have probably suffocated the living hell out of us. The first night was fun and we managed to sneak in booze and drink tons of it at a no alcohol site. We managed to grill some stuff as well though after the long drive (This is not the enthusiastic bunch that traveled to Virginia except for me and AJ and we're both married now).
The next day was a wild day. We were forced to get up early as we had to be ready before the bus left for the River. We were bundled up with the Ivory bunch which was made up of another 40 to 50 people. As fate had it people had formed groups and so all 6 of us were pushed onto one single raft, (this is going to be fun, 6 blind mice see how they run...I bet this is what the Rafting guides were thinking.....)
But we 2380 Duncan Drivers (also known as Drunken Divers ) are a formidable bunch, formidable but totally unorganized and uncompromising. We learn fast but are severe ADD patients and did not have the patience to listen to the instructor all the way through. Entrepreneurs at heart we learn from experience even if that means getting stuck in the middle of a rapid and falling off the boat a bunch of times.

This post took tooo long to complete...so I'm going to cut a long story short and say that we had 6 no actually 5 screamers and no listeners and that made for a really chaotic boat ride with every person taking on the role of captain and trying to do his own thing. Now I know why India does not do well at team sports (not like they do any better individually). The sigh of relief was evident on the face of the rafting giude. We really got our bang for the buck.

Waiting eagerly for the next river rafting trip, hopefully this time the others will listen to my instructions...;)

Roger Waters Runs Deep

Alas I have nothing more to live for than to see the 4 together now. Have just visited Pearly Gates and am back. Friday the 1st of June was the day, never have felt such a rush in my life.

Nick and I went to see the Great Waters perform Dark side of the moon Live....

Yeah man Live.....Words cannot express the exhilarating feeling of the hearing DSOTM Live and see Waters In the Flesh..The pigs were flying there was confetti in the air and I wish You were here...but I saw the Dark Side of the Moon and I will never be the same again.

Waters also performed "Wish you were Here" and surprise surprise the Wall.....

Ohhh I have actually become Comfortably Numb.....Numbed by the awesome experience....

Waters has not lost the minutest change in his Tonal abilities and his skills as a lyricist are
Before the conclusion of the first half, Waters sang a new song titled “Leaving Beirut” with lines like “Oh George! Oh George! That Texas education must have fucked you up when you were very small.” The animation in the background was amazing, images of George W. juxtaposed with those of Stalin, Saddam, Reagan during the song Vera was also fantaastic. The crowd went nuts when Roger screamed "Bring the boys back home."

Alas the show did not go On...but the vivid images it created in my head will stay Forever......

May the light Shine on You..you Other Crazy Diamond.
