After a long time Nik aka (Baccha) an Moi aka (bablu) thought of making the best of the weather yesterday and so we went out to Philly. We wanted to be a bit adventurous and try taking the SEPTA(train) downtown. Unfortunately, the stations here dont give directions as to which side the trains going to come on and we found our 1/2 hour wait for the train end disappointingly. We tried to chase the train and catch it at another station (Bollywood here we come) but the combination of Nik driving and the car being a 95 civic got us beat (Mental note: all car chases from now on should be done with my car). So we drove down and surprise manged to get parking in Philly.
What a fantastic day 74 Deg in Nov, we walked around on Walnut, strolled on Broad, pretended to do some shopping and wasted a good par tof the day walking around. I love to while away time just walking around aimlessly all day doing nothing, just walking around. I guess thats my philosophy with life as well, wander around aimlessly. Somehow I rarely never get lost, well I dont remeber ever having gotten lost. Its just an instinct I can probably walk around for a long time, permutations and combinations of all roads and somehow always find my way back. I thank Bombay for that talent.
We ended the day by hitting a couple of Irish bars, drowning a couple gallons of Yuengling draft on the Tap, and finally ate at this Afghani restaurant called Kabul. Fantastic Lamb, I am a sucker for good lamb, good succulent lamb. And the bakhlawa was good too. All in all it was a good day, after a long time I ventured walking into the city and I ended promising myself that I am gonna do this more often...
Yeah like I've kept up the last 1000 resolutions I made...
