Recently I went to watch Don. I was persuaded to watch the movie by friends, and I wen tinspite of the fact that Shahrukh was in the movie. In general I dont watch Shahrukh Khan movies. I am bored by the very concept of those movies (Swades aside). I dont like a gay man dressed in gay clothes trying his level best to portay a non gay part.
I adore early bacchan movies and to watch farhan Akhtar make a mockery of a classic is simply not acceptable. Ok that was exagerated. But shahrukh does not have the persona that Amitabh has to carry a role of a DON. Helen is way to nimble for a fat arse Kareena to portray, I bet if helen had danced at this age shed have looked prettier than Kareena ever will in her life. Arjun Rampal was OK..he did what he could...after all he knew from the start he could never matchup to Pran. The best or worst part is that Boman Irani is human...he does not suit all parts and was horrible as the inspector and Vardhan.

Farhan, this is not 1960 where a selected few people watched english movies. A lot of us watch them, some of us maybe more than you. If only Indian schools had a stricter punishment for plagiarism, Indians would not have to watch this crap that directors copy from hollywood movies.

Another lesson learnt, no matter how much someone pursuades you never waste another dime on a Shahrukh Khan movie.

I have been wanting to write about an article that popped up in the news recently where a bunch of cab drivers in Minnesota have refused to drive people under the influence of alcohol or posessing alcoholic products.
At first read and for quiet a while I was really peeved at the thought that someone could force his religious views on another person here in the US.
I thought whats next they're going to stop taking people with ham sandwiches in their cabs.
All of these cab drivers are immigrants from a muslim nation and ought to realise that this is not a Muslim nation.
Then yesterday I read a note in the paper written by a lady who pointed out how Christian pharmacies refuse to refill pills.
Guess I am the bigger Bigot here and must learn more tolerance towards the Islamic religion.
Not that I would refuse anyone the right to an abortion or would stop people from wearing contraceptives.
I am religious. I believe in religion, but I dont enforce my beliefs on other people.
Why can't people just live in harmony, isn't that what all religions teach as their first precept.
If you feel a certain profession is going against your religious beliefs, quit the profession.
Don't make a thousand people change just because one person is uncomfortable with a certain thing.

Another One of the camouflaged Chameleons (Foley) has been spotted.
This person a Republican Senator from FLorida (I wont rewrite the news, I believe everybody knows what he has done) was one of the first to castigate Bill Clinton and point fingers at him.
He was the author of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act a sexual predator provisions Act. All sexual predators must rejoice at the thought that one of their own wrote up the law on prosecuting them.
But what irked me was the fact that his lawyer claims it was all due to alcohol addiction. I drink alcohol, OK a lot of alcohol, but never have I felt the need to write crap like that.
Foley and numerous other politicians are using alcohol as an escape mechanism to hide their twisted and perverted minds. These are the very same politicians who are voted into power by devout Conservative Southern Christians, I beleive their acts must make the Conservative mighty Proud.
They speak to people in the Name of the Lord and then go ahead and murder thousands for no apparent reason.
I want to write a lot more but am just too disgusted to write and dont want to appear like a political pundit so I digress.

I wonder how it is that a person with a Wife and kids stoops to this level.
