Homeward Bound
In the words of Paul Simon
I'm sittin' in the railway station, Got a ticket for my destination
On a tour of one night stands, My suitcase and guitar in hand
And every stop is neatly planned,For a poet and a one man band
Homeward bound, I wish I was, Homeward bound,Home, where my thought's escaping
Home, where my music's playing,Home, where my love lies waiting,Silently for me.
Well my wish has come true and I am Leaving on a Jetplane, but I'll be back again. I leave tomorrow for India..
I can already hear the lapping of the waves against the shore in Goa, cashew feni and mackerals...fish at the beach(ummm), thats the life, not a worry for miles ahead, just the soothing blue waters of the sea.
Im also looking forward to eating the vada paavs at the roadside stalls in bbay..Ive been adviced against it though..they say my immune system has weakened and my body will not be able to take the germs...well I say when the body is weak the mind should be strong...and i have travelled figuratively speaking seven seas just for this..the bbay life...hope i am not dissapointed...
One more day of work to go, gawd time travels so slowly, the last few months passed by like a breeze, but these last few days have gone by at painstking pace, guess the eagerness to commence my vacation(a long deserved one at that) is making every moment seem longer..
Thats it then time to go....
Times have changed and times are strange
Here I come, but I ain't the same
Mama, I'm coming home
Mama I'm coming Home
I'm sittin' in the railway station, Got a ticket for my destination
On a tour of one night stands, My suitcase and guitar in hand
And every stop is neatly planned,For a poet and a one man band
Homeward bound, I wish I was, Homeward bound,Home, where my thought's escaping

Thanks for Giving
I believe last weekend was a memorable thanksgiving. My roomies for school gathered up at my place. Reunion of 2380 Duncan Drive. I think it was the first time that I was not driving, and people were driving over to my place, a new feeling and a good feeling, infact I am hoping to convince the guys to make that our modus operandi for future outings.
Twas a nice weekend, we started of with Atlantic City, could have enjoyed the place a little better had the weather been a little more accomodating. But the casinos were packed and we spent most of our time at the lounge or the slot machines. The surprising thing was that 2 of us managed to come out of the place with positive gains, and no I amnot gonna share my secret of making money. To make things a little interesting we partied all night long and drove into best buy the next morning at 5:30 for the black friday deals. Thats it, this is the last year Im doing the Black Friday thing. I declare that it is a fraud. I bet people record black friday shoppers secretly and then play back the video and have a big laugh. We hit the mall and returned home for a desperate Nap. Woke up drank some beer and made plans for the clubs to hit in Phili. At 8 we were back in Phili, visited 2 clubs didnt drink much as I was the designated driver, a cross one must bear when one is the host. The next day was truly memorable. We had a party at our old get together place in Edison. Mr. B bought 3 1.75 litre bottles of Johnny Walker and a crate of beers for 8 guys to drink. Way too much alcohol and way too much food. We got ourselves semi-drunk(drunk enough to blabber, but able to walk straight) and B drove us to NY city and dropped us on 52nd. Dont remember which club we went but was not a very interesting club as I fell asleep in the club, dont know if it was the lack of sleep or the lack of sleep. Came back from NY at 6 in the morning and finally I could catch up with ms sleep. Nope had to go for a post thansgiving lunch at my cousins place. Didnt realise when the weekend started and before I could sleep it was aldready time to go back to work.
I do have a lot to give thanks for this year, with the new job and all my roomies also gettin jobs and all, but never got the time to do so amongst all the partying.
So here it is. I thank GOD this year for my new job in Phili, for R, N, Ar gettin jobs, for the new baby in my family, for my leave being approved, for the many friends of mine that are getting married.
A belated Happy Thanksgiving to all....and theres some turkey still leftover...
